The coating protects the placemats and allows them to be cleaned with a single wipe when a stain appears on the fabric. We've decided to offer a coating on these placemats to protect their fabric. For those who prefer a light fabric without an acrylic coating, they are also available uncoated.
You can clean your Berrain Fusain coated placemats at 30 degrees maximum to ensure thorough cleaning. However, we recommend that you do not overuse the washing machine for fear that the coating will gradually disappear.
